Julia says that she didn’t talk about her past with anyone until now. She said that at the age of 18 she changed her name from Julia to Talia, the more Hebrew-sounding name inorder to attract a match. A year later she got married off to a near-stranger.They eventually had four children, a relatively small number by the standards of the community.
