Cookie was a DJ who represents the loud and grimy side of dubstep. According to a profile on his management’s website reads, “If you crave the downright nasty dubstep then Cookie Monsta’s your guy. Packing a recipe of face-slapping snares, ground shaking bass and eye gougingly dirty synths … his sound resembles that of a demonic bass-saw that easily lacerates the eardrums of all it encounters.”
Tony studied music technology in college after spending hours on his brother’s Playstation creating sounds on Music 2000. He began making dubstep-style tunes, random beats with a grime sound after he was caught off guard by Rusko’s upbeat style on hearing ‘FabricLive 37’ and became instantly hooked.

Tony was signed to Circus Records. This was after he was hooked up with Flux Pavilion. Flux invited him to join the record label after being intrigued gy his ability to create unique and mystifying noises. He officially entered the world of dubstep with his first release, ‘Ginger Pubes / Blurgh!’.
Cookie Monsta Mental Health
According to a tweet in December 2018 he revealed that he didn’t realize he suffered with depression until he was older.

In May 2019 he canceled a series of performances due to “mental health issues.” He made a statement on Facebook;
“For the past year I’ve been struggling with mental health issues, over the recent weeks and months this has become harder than ever. I’ve not been online recently as I’ve been trying to work through my problems away from the glare of social media. Unfortunately, I’ve not made as much progress as I’d hoped, so I’ve decided that I need to take a longer break from the scene. With a heavy heart, I have to tell you that I’ll not be performing at any of my forthcoming shows, including my appearances on the Circus 10 Years Tour. I will continue making and releasing music, beyond that I look forward to being back out to see you soon when I’m better.

Cookie Monsta Dead – Tony Cook Death
Cookie has died according to a statement from his record label Circus Records.
“Our beloved Tony Cook (aka Cookie Monsta) has left us. We are devastated, no words can contain our feelings on such a day. All of our thoughts go to Tony’s family, friends and our heart especially goes out to Tony’s son Olly, the Mini Monsta.
The world will miss you Cookie, we will miss you brother.
Out of respect for Tony’s family, we will hold off on commenting any further until deemed appropriate.”
