Yasmin was the wife of the later Dj Eric Morillo. The couple got married on May 15, 2012 in Miami.
According to Page Six, the couple had met on New Year’s Eve. Eric Morillo was an American – Colombian DJ who was famous for his 1993 hit song ‘I Like To Move It.’ He began DJing at weddings for friends and family at the age of 11, while attending a private grammar school. He produced produced music under several different pseudonyms, including Reel 2 Real for I Like To Move It, which reached number 5 on the UK singles chart in 1994.
He later began producing music under the Erick Morillo Project. He was a three-time winner of Best International DJ, in 2002, 2006 and 2009, receiving a total of 15 nominations from 1998-2010.
He later set up his own management company with four other DJs and producers, and his own imprint, Subliminal Records.
Yasmin Sait Armstrong Dj Carl Kennedy
Yasmin was previously in a relationship with DJ Carl Kennedy, an English DJ. In 2012 Carl was alleged to have formed a close attachment to swimwear model Bingle who at the time was in a relationship with Michael Clarke. It was alleged that Bingle went to Kennedy’s Bondi unit as her relationship with Clarke was unravelling. At the time Sait-Armstrong said she was standing with her man and affirmed that the two were “still together” and “madly in love”. It is not clear when they broke up.
Eric Morillo Death
Morillo was found dead on September 1, 2020 at around 10:45 a.m. at his home in Miami Beach according to law enforcement. The officers received a 911 call at 10:42 a.m to 5660 La Gorce Drive according to Local 10.
Eric Morillo Cause of Death
His cause of death is unknown but will be determined by the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office. According to Ernesto Rodriguez, Miami Beach Police Public Information Officer, there were no apparent signs of foul play.
Eric Morillo Arrest
On August 6, 2020 Morillo was arrested after he handed himself in and was charged with sexual battery on a woman. The incident is alleged to have taken place at his home in Miami Beach in December 2019.
The accuser is also a Dj and police detectives said the two were working together at private event on Star Island, before heading to Morillo’s nearby home for drinks along with another woman.
According to the arrest report, the victim told the police that Morillo “made several advances towards her, some sexual in nature, but she refused all of his attempts.” The arrest report also states that victim said she was intoxicated and went to find a room to go to sleep in by herself, then she “reported waking up nude on the bed, with Mr. Morillo standing on the side of the bed also nude”.

Morillo denied the allegations of rape and sexual battery although a rape kit came back positive for Morillo’s DNA. Prior to his death, he had a scheduled court hearing on September 4, 2020.
