Pynn has worked as a design editor for several publications. She was a contributing design editor for Chatelaine magazine and a design columnist for the National Post for six years.

She also worked as a design editor for Style at Home magazine for more than 10 years. She produced big stories on the hottest decor trends, coming up with the design concepts for many of the articles. Her work was noticed by producers of CityLine on Citytv, where she was a regular guest expert for fifteen years.
