Lachy Crossley Biography
Lachy Crossley was the owner of a water leak detection business at Maroochydore and the boyfriend of Jaimi Lee Kenny. He died in 2017 and it is alleged that his death lead Jaimi into depression and she battled alcohol-related health issues and eating disorder until her death in September 2018.
Jaimi Lee Kenny Boyfriend
Crossley was the boyfriend of Jaimi Lee Kenny, the daughter of Lis a Curry and Grant Kenny. The two met after Jaimi returned to the Sunshine Coast from a stint living in Melbourne. They had just moved in when Lachy suddenly died.
According to Lachy’s mother, the couple was a modern-day Romeo and Juliet. “They had plans to be together forever … people described them as a modern-day Romeo and Juliet.”
Jaimi had an alcoholism issue and the death of Lachy “plunged Jaimi into depression”. According to The Daily Telegraphy Lachy’s passing only worsened Curry’s battle with alcohol, which had first made headlines in 2014 when she drank 16 Strongbow stubbies from 8.30 am to 10 pm before getting in her car and swerving all over the road. Her blood-alcohol level was 0.23 per cent.
Her lawyer told the Maroochydore Magistrates Court Jaimi had “psychological issues” and had been feeling “unstable” that day. Alcohol had been “a bit of a feature” of her life since another relationship breakdown two years earlier.
“Unfortunately (she) started consuming alcohol to self medicate and that’s obviously quickly become a problem.”
Jaimi died in September 2020 after allegedly spending he final three years of her life in and out of hospital before passing in Sunshine Coast University Hospital. It is also said she battled an eating disorder.

Lachy’s cause of death was never revealed but they are no suggestion that he died of suicide.
