Novarro began his career with Eyewitness News as a college intern and ascended through the ranks to become a reporter. He is a native of Manhattan’s Lower East Side and Queens. Later, he was promoted to New Jersey Bureau Correspondent and then to Eyewitness News Sunday Morning anchor. He then joined Fox Chicago after working as a morning weekend anchor and general assignment reporter at WABC-TV in New York.

Additionally, Novarro has won multiple Emmys and received a lot of praise for his work on a lot of important subjects. The documentary “Cropsey” is based on a real-life serial killer who was the subject of exclusive Eyewitness News reporting that Novarro initially broke. On the 4 p.m. newscast, he is featured in a section called The Trend. After leaving WFLD-TV in Chicago as the anchor of Good Day Chicago, he returned to WABC-TV in December 2010.

Along with that after anchoring “Fox News in the Morning,” he was chosen to lead the station’s expansion into the 10:00 PM time slot. In a Chicago Kiss FM radio survey, he was awarded “Best Newscaster.” Beginning in 2000, Novarro and his co-anchor Tamron Hall hosted the morning show for seven years.
