Amanda Balionis Husband Bryn Renner

Amanda is not married but is engaged to Bryn Renner. The couple met in 2019 while Amanda was covering the NFL for CBS and they soon after began dating.

Bryn Renner is a football coach and former quarterback. He is the assistant quarterback coach for Panther QB. He also serves as the recruiting coordinator. He played college football at the University of North Carolina from 2009 to 2013. He later joined NFL where he played for the Steelers, Chargers, Titans, Ravens and Broncos. After his NFL career, he joined coaching career, in 2016 he became Austin Peay’s quarterbacks coach before heading back to his alma mater, UNC, for the same position in 2017.

Amanda Balionis CBS Sports

Amanda is a CBS golf reporter but she also covers other sports for CBS, including high school as well as professional football matches. She joined CBS in 2017 and in 2018 she was made a permanent member of the CBS golf reporting team. She was also assigned to report on other sports too after her bosses noticed her talent was not limited to golf. In 2019 she was made the social media correspondent for the 2019 super bowl.

She became interested in journalism after realizing that she was short to compete in the D1 school’s Volleyball team and began focusing on sports reporting. She joined the University’s newspaper, Hofstra Chronicle Newspaper and radio station, WRHU.

While at the University she was noticed by the Jets media management, as the Jets NFL football team uses the facilities at Hofstra in training, offering her an internship for the NFL team. The NHL team also noted her journalism skills, the New York Islanders, for whom she also interned.

While in New York she joined CBS, working on the morning slot of a local Manhattan production. After graduating in 2008 she struggled to find work in New York as it was at the height of the recession which prompted her to return to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and began writing for a local paper Lancaster Newspaper (LNP). She wrote a variety of stories and news articles but her passion was the sports column.

At the end of 2008, she became a high school sports reporter for Verizon Fios channel 1. In 2009, she was recruited by Madison Square Garden (MSG) Network and started reporting on high school sports.

In 2011 she moved to Florida where she joined the Professional Golfers Association (PGA), reporting on PGA tours and hosted media content on their website.

In 2016 she moved to California after she landed a job at Calloway Golf soon after she was contacted by Turner Sports and by the end of the year she was conducting interviews with players at the PGA championships at Baltusrol Golf Club, New Jersey. Soon after she caught the eye of CBS.

She has credited yoga for helping her become a more confident golfer by keeping her calm. She has said that she found that yoga improved her physical condition, which in turn helped to strengthen her mind.
