Loxley took over as host of Nine Afternoon News Melbourne in May 2017, a local weekday afternoon news program that replaced the national Nine Afternoon News bulletin.

In November 2011, it was announced that Loxley will take over as a weekend host on Nine News Melbourne from Jo Hall, who was reducing her obligations with the network. On Weekend Today and Today, Deborah Knight took over for Loxley. Loxley has also substituted for Peter Hitchener on Nine News Melbourne’s nighttime edition, Tracy Grimshaw on A Current Affair, and Sylvia Jeffreys and Lisa Wilkinson on Today.

Loxley began her carer on Radio National’s The Sports Factor, where she had her debut appearance in front of the camera. She then went to Mildura to work for the ABC. Her decision to go to Perth was prompted by a spell as a correspondent for Triple J radio.
In late 2003, Loxley made her debut appearance on ABC News, and in 2005, she was promoted to weekend news presenter for ABC News in Western Australia.
She took over as nightly presenter of ABC News in Western Australia from Paul Lockyer in February 2006. In mid-2007, Loxley began on a new role at ABC Radio, hosting the statewide regional drive program on ABC Local Radio, in addition to providing news each night.

In May 2008, Loxley resigned to return to Melbourne, and Karina Carvalho took her place. Loxley began working as a correspondent for Nine News Melbourne in July 2008. Loxley took over as host of Nine Afternoon News and Nine Late News in October 2009. She also presented the news on Today and Nine News Melbourne throughout the summer of 2009/2010.
She moved to Sydney in June 2010, replacing Amber Sherlock as a news presenter on Weekend Today and was also the Monday news presenter on Today, while Georgie Gardner delivers Nine News Sydney on Friday and Saturday. She joined Shane Warne’s variety show Warnie on the Nine Network in November 2010. Loxley co-hosted Syd in December 2010.

Loxley has also worked as a guest presenter for Nine News, reporting on Kerri-Anne, Nine Morning News, Nine Afternoon News, Qantas Inflight News, and Nine News Sydney. She’s also been on Weekend Today as a stand-in for Leila McKinnon and Today as Lisa Wilkinson.

She is an ambassador for the Lighthouse Foundation and My Room Children’s Cancer Charity.
