In August 1993, Eaves started his journalism career at WKYT-TV. He spent six years at WKYT-TV, where he also hosted a nightly sportscast on sister station WDKY-TV. After more than two decades of journalism experience in television and radio, he joined ESPN in May 2015 as a studio anchor. He is frequently seen leading SportsCenter midnight episodes from the studio, although he has also anchored from the road at events such as the Masters.
Michael was a regular contributor and guest host on the Los Angeles radio station KLAAM-AM. Before moving to the Los Angeles area, he spent three years in Memphis, Tenn., hosting a nightly sportscast for WPTY-TV and working as a sideline reporter on the Grizzlies’ telecasts.
