Melody Lane a YouTuber who shared crafting videos especially on Cricut machines and products on her channel is being reported to have passed away from COVID-19 on Feb 15 complications as per a statement on her official social media pages. Melody was a huge light in the Cricut crafting community. She was always sharing positive content and creating a welcoming and helpful space online where crafters can learn and create.
Melody Lane and her son had COVID-19 and Pneumonia
According to an update by Melody’s sister, Holly Klien Hello, Melody and her son, Alex were hospitalized in a hospital in Las Vegas fighting Covid & pneumonia. She wrote that Melody was admitted to the ICU on Feb 1 and was put on the ventilator after her illness became severe. Alex’s condition on the other hand was improving and he was expected to be out of the hospital in a few days.
Melody Lane Death & Cause
Melody Lane passed away on Feb 15, at 3:22 am as per an update by her sister, “My sister, Melody Lane, transitioned to her eternal sleep at 3:22 am Vegas time this morning. ”
Melody’s son, Alex was able to go be with her for an hour and a half before her transition to her sister. Holly Klien went on to thank everyone who stood with Melody and the outpouring of love and prayers they both received. She wrote in the statement, “Melody truly has the most wonderful people around her, seriously, from her followers to her admins. She was forever grateful for you all!”
Holly Klien in the update confirmed that Alex will be released on Wed Feb 16 and will be on oxygen for a few more weeks at least.
Holly concluded by writing sending thanks to the fans and friends who came forward when Melody most needed them, ” Thank you for loving our Melody soo much!!! ❤️❤️ We have a pretty amazing angel watching over all of us now!”
A GoFundMe account had already been created by Holly with an aim of raising funds to help in settling the medical bill for Melody and her son Alex.
Melody’s followers are devasted by the sudden passing of their star. One Karen Evans wrote in a tribute on Facebook, “Today, I just found out that Melody Lane who I follow on many Facebook groups, youtube, and her website, died today. ” Evans further wrote, “She and her son Alex, both got the Covid virus and were admitted to hospital in Las Vegas, USA, in January. Her son is now doing well and is being discharged tomorrow. Even though I never met Melody personally, I thoroughly enjoyed all the help she gave me in learning how to use my Cricut Maker. To her family and all fellow craft followers my sincere condolences.”
Ken Hess posted on Facebook, “One of my favorite core memories of ALL TIME. Melody Lane has made me laugh since 2008, and I cannot imagine a world without her. My eyes fill with tears knowing I cannot give my beautiful friend one last hug. Melody, my mom is waiting for you and one of those signature hugs. I can already feel the two of you crafting and laughing! I will miss you dearly my friend. The world lost one of the good ones today. Mel…… I ❤️U and will miss you more than any Facebook post or words can express. Rest In Peace beautiful lady.”
