Kastner joined the 10News team as an investigative reporter for Team 10 in September of 2017. She spent two and a half years covering breaking news and special stories for CBS Los Angeles before moving to America’s Finest City. More so, she won an Emmy for her reporting on a guy unfairly imprisoned for murder and released 23 years later in the summer of 2017.
Moreover, Jennifer previously worked for KTNV in Las Vegas, where she covered national news topics such as a Las Vegas mother’s suspected road rage shooting death and the federal government’s feud with cattle rancher Cliven Bundy. She began her career as a reporter on the radio at KWES Newswest 9 in Midland-Odessa, Texas. That’s where she picked up the phrase “y’all.”
Kastner additionally, worked as an investigative producer for KVOA in Tucson, Arizona, prior to going on-air. She received an Edward R. Murrow Award while working at KVOA for an investigation exposing the hostile work atmosphere at Child Protective Services.
