Before working in Boston she was based in Las Vegas working as a reporter and weekend anchor for KTNV. While there, she won an Emmy award for her coverage on sex trafficking and spearheaded an investigation into stolen department-issue weapons at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. She was also recognized for her reporting on the trial of Erich Nowsch, the gunman convicted of killing a Las Vegas mother in a road rage altercation. After the case gained national attention, she was featured as the local media expert on two episodes of ABC’s 20/20.
She began her career in television journalism at KOAA, the NBC affiliate in Colorado Springs, as a one-man-band reporter where she shot, wrote, and edited her own stories.
