Who is Elpidio Reyna? FBI Most Wanted Rock Thrower During the Anti-ICE Protest in California

Elpidio Reyna Biography

Elpidio Reyna is a wanted man by the FBI for assaulting a federal officer in the city of Paramount, California, on June 7, 2025. He was allegedly seen on video throwing rocks at law enforcement vehicles during protests in the south LA city of Paramount on Saturday afternoon, injuring a federal officer and damaging government cars.

The FBI has placed him on the list of most wanted offering a reward of upto $50,000 for information leading to his arrest and conviction.

He was born on July 21, 1984. He has black hair, brown eyes, weighs 165 pounds and stands at a height of 5’7″. In addition, he has a tattoo on his left arm with the word “Carmen.”

Stone Throwing

On June 7, 2025 at around 3:30 p.m Elpidio allegedly threw rocks at law enforcrmnt on Alondra Boulevard during the anti-UCE protests in Los Angeles. He was seen wearing a patterned neck gaiter, a baseball hat and a Zacatecas baseball jersey. In some of the images, he was on a motorcycle wearing a helmet and reflective sunglasses. In one image, he is seen holding a Mexican flag, which has become a prominent symbol during the protests. In another image, he was seen wearing his motorcycle helmet, standing above a pile of garbage that is on fire.

The Border Patrol had a staging area in Paramount when they were confronted by protesters. Agitators then started throwing glass bottles and chunks of cement toward authorities, who fired back with tear gas and rubber bullets.

According to Chief Gregory Bovino from Border Patrol’s El Centro sector, while the agents were leaving the area, rocks were thrown severely injuring one of the agents.

The FBI used social media and a FOX 11 news reporter to identify Elpidio. According to U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli “Anybody who assaulted our officers, we’ve got the FBI working around the clock. We will find you, and we will arrest you, and we will charge you.”

According to Attorney General Pam Bondi, “if you spit on a federal law enforcement officer, we are going to charge you with a crime federally. You are looking at up to five years maximum in prison.”

FBI Director Kash Patel also warned that assault to a law enforcement officer would equal to going to jail. “It doesn’t matter where you came from, how you got here, or what cause you claim to represent, if local jurisdictions won’t stand behind the men and women who wear the badge, the FBI will.”

Elpidio Reyna Immigration Status

Elpidio’s immigration status is unknown.  He was involved in the protest after it emerged Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were carrying out raids in areas of the city with prominent Latino populations.

Due to the ongoing protest, President Donald Trump deployed 2,000 National Guard members to the Los Angeles area on June 7 and again on June 9, he ordered another 2,000 National Guard members to the west-coast city.
