When he was young he wanted to be an architect and in high school in focused on design and then went on to architectural school. He has worked on both design and construction management.

Denese is an interior designer and founder of “The Perfect Vignette”. Prior to being an interior designer, she was a fashion design. While studying fashion merchandising in college, together with some other students they visited the flagship location of furniture retailer Lillian August during a field trip. After completing their walk through, the vice president of the company approached her and asked her to send a resume and cover letter. She ended getting a job working in the Lillian August design studio for several years. the company primarily dealt with luxury products. While there she learnt about fabric construction and even got a basic idea of interior design. When the company launched its New York office, she transferred to Big Apple.
Denese still wanted a career in fashion industry and took a job as a personal shopper at Saks Fifth Avenue. Her next gig was working in the insurance industry at State Farm which taught her to be content in her situation. She then landed a job at Romo Fabrics. While there, she found herself gravitating further toward home decor and ended up launching her own design studio, The Perfect Vignette.
