Who is Barbara McQuade Husband?

Dan Hurley is an attorney who has been with the U.S. Attorney’s Office since 1992. He is the husband to Barbara McQuade who is the U.S attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan and also an MSNBC columnist and NBC News and MSNBC legal analyst. She was the first woman to serve as the U.S Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan after she was appointed by President Barack Obama. She was forced to resign from the position by then President Donald Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions on March 10, 2017. She is married to Dan Hurley, who is an assistant U.S. attorney in Detroit, Michigan.

The couple met at the University of Michigan where they both studied Law. After Law School, they became Law clerks for federal judges. McQuade worked for U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman while Hurley clerked for federal appellate Judge Cornelia Kennedy.

They have been married since 1995 and have worked together. They served as trial prosecutors in the Detroit U.S. Attorney’s office where they were assigned to the general crimes section. They were the first husband-wife team to prosecute a case in the eastern Michigan district when they teamed up to successfully prosecute an internet child pornographer.

The couple have four children together although their names are not public.
