Prior to joining NBC4, he started his broadcasting career in 1966 at KHVH-TV in Honolulu as an anchor and reporter. Before starting his tenure at KHVH-TV he also worked for NBC affiliate KENI-TV as an anchor. After working for KENI-TV Henry moved to Chicago, during his time there he worked as a producer and hosted an on-air show known as, Your Army Neighbor, a community program featuring members of the military.
After working for KENI-TV he joined NBC4 in 1994 where he reported from las vegas in 2017 covering the worst mass shooting in modern history. Henry was one of the only television reporters who was given a chance to visit and report from “the most bombed place on Earth,” the Nevada Test Site that was ground zero in America’s nuclear testing program. His report on security weaknesses behind the Los Angeles Airport. As a result, the city council hired expert security consultants from Israel to assess and solve the problems. To reveal the plight of domestic violence victims, he was the one and only reporter ever allowed to interview the managing staff and residents also permitted into the secret Good Shepard Shelter.
